Petrified dinosaur bone, or "Gembone," is created when the cellular structure of dinosaur bones is replaced with chalcedony, preserving the intricate patterns and vibrant colors. Found mainly in the American Southwest, these bones display a range of colors from brown to black, with vibrant red, blue, and yellow splotches. The unique coloring results from impurities in the surrounding sediment, making each piece of dinosaur bone truly one-of-a-kind.
